The Adelaide Orthodox Jewish community is very small - only really 1000 active jews, and maybe 4 kosher families, so those of us that do follow kashrut aren't well catered for! However, the Adelaide Hebrew Congregation (it's in our yellow pages: http://www.yellowpages.com.au) not only provides shule services, mikveh, etc. but also imports many staple kosher products, which are sold just above cost. Also, the Frewville and Burnside baker's delight franchises do a bit of kosher baking. The Adelaide Hilton, Hyatt and the Stamford Grand in Gleneg all do Kosher catering under rabbinical supervision for functions, so I guess they might be able to provide kosher meals to guests. Hope that helps someone travelling - just don't try living here! (Very bitter about the distinct lack of afforable kosher cheese, of all things!!)
